This is our contribution to the Ubuntu Cola - good design contest.

The brief told us to do a classic ad to be printed in the magazine "Filter". The target group was swedes in ages 15-30 years. After some thinking and researching, we realized that a small ad in a small magazine wouldn´t do that much of a difference.

This is what we did instead.

TRENDS-TENDANCES (11 March 2011)

« When John Jeanquart helped to launch Red Bull in our country, no one thought this energy drink would become so successful. »

« Being at the head of the Smiles Factory company, recently created along with his ally Thierry Vandebroek, he takes care of the starting commercialisation of Ubuntu Cola, the first cola being a result of fair trade. »

« After already being available in the United Kingdom, where about 2.5 million cans were sold in two and a half years, this soft drink will also be distributed in the Benelux. »

« Ubuntu Cola, which consists for 90% of water and for 9.8% of cane sugar harvested by farmers in Malawi, received the Max Havelaar and FLO-CERT fairtrade labels. »

« We want to clear away the stereotypes that come along with the standard images attached to fairtrade products, by not just spreading traditional pictures of farmers in their fields. »
